Rhythm of the Heart band at First Assembly of God
Rhythm of the Heart Band will be in concert at Willcox First Assembly of God, on the corner of Stewart and Cochise, on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. All are welcome and it is a free event.
Advent Brunch Dec. 5 at Trinity Lutheran Church
At this time of year often we women are overwhelmed by the preparations for the season that include gift purchase, holiday baking, festive cooking, children's programs, and extra parties in addition to the commitments of a regular routine. We tend to lose ourselves in busyness while the spiritual reason for Christmas becomes dim or lost. Advent, the month before Christmas, is set aside for getting ready and waiting for the Christ child.
Trinity Lutheran Church invites the women of Willcox to participate in a time of peace and inspiration prior to the hectic Christmas season. Join us for food, fellowship, singing and an inspiring speaker. There is no charge but reservations are required. Please call the church at 384-2155 and leave your name to reserve your special place. This event is funded by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The Advent Brunch will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church 111 North Bisbee Ave. Speaker Pastor Kim Sterner will speak on "How Long Must We Wait, O Lord?"
Pastor Kim is Pastor of Bethel Lutheran in Phoenix. She has a special heart for the country of Haiti and with her congregation raises money to purchase pigs. She will share her experiences with us in the context of an Advent meditation. We are taking a free will offering to support her ministry in Haiti.
Ladies' exercise at Faith Bible Church Saturdays
Exercise Class starting for Ladies at Faith Bible Church! On Saturdays in November, beginning at 9 a.m. a beginners exercise program will start at the church. All ladies are invited to participate in a slower paced stress reduction exercise video. The class will run every Sat for the month of November. If the class is met with enthusiasm and interest we will look to continue it.
For all those who would like a gentle lift for your body and soul we welcome you to join us. The video runs about 25 minutes. No nursery available but we encourage young ones to attend with their mothers or grandmothers! Please call 384-2716 with any questions.
Free Rock of Safety
concert Nov. 22
Faith Bible Church will be sponsoring a free concert on Sunday, Nov. 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Bible Church. Pastor Bobby Dean and Debbie Stephens from Rock of Safety Ministries will be at Faith Bible Church to perform a free concert. All are welcome!
Pastor Bobby is a national Christian singer, songwriter and evangelist. His wife Debbie is a children's author. We ask that people arrive early, as this will be a well attended event. There will be a special kid's time during the show. A cake social will be offered following the performance.

Women's Bible and Fellowship Tuesdays
You are invited to attend our Women's Bible Study and Fellowship, sponsored by Harvest Ministries and Extended Hands Ministries, each Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m., in the Senior Apartments community room, 457 W. Scott St. A nursery is provided. For info call Diana at 384-5274.
Chili Cook-Off fundraiser Nov. 21 at Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church is holding a Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Nov. 21 in the parish hall, 215 W. Maley St., Willcox. Entries must be at the hall by 5 p.m. to receive a judging number.
The chili supper itself begins at 6 p.m. Categories to enter are "Best Over All," "Hottest," "Best (Funny) Name," and Salsa. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.
Entry fee are $10 for single/private individual and $50 for a business/group. As always, the event features entertainment and door prizes.
The event is a fundraiser for improvements to church building. For further information, contact Linda Cleveland at (520) 240-6987 or 384-4237.
Community Thanksgiving Service Nov. 24
Willcox Ministries Fellowship will sponsor this year's Community Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, Nov. 24. The service will be held at Faith Bible Church, 190 N. Curtis, at 7 p.m. All are invited to share in this service of thanksgiving and thank their Lord for all their blessings.
